(Reuters) - Sisters cry in Chishan Evacuation Centre as they find out that their parents refuse to be evacuated by military helicopter from landslide-affected village of Meishan in Taoyuan Township, Kaohsiung County, Southern Taiwan August 15, 2009. Their parents decided to stay put in the village after the rain had stopped, but the sisters were worried that there might be more landslides. The official death toll in Taiwan stood at 108 after Typhoon Morakot triggered the worst floods in decades washed out roads, snapped bridges, sent dwellings crashing into rivers and forced authorities to deploy hundreds of helicopters for rescue missions.
