(Reuters) - Two members (L) from the eight Roma families receiving free apartments built with E.U. and government funds by the local council sign the contract in Agnita, about 290 km (180 miles) northwest of Bucharest, October 8, 2010. The families can fully own the apartments after five years under certain rules, including that one member of the family has to work legally after a qualification programme and their children to follow school, Agnita's mayor Radu Marius Curcean said.
