(Reuters) - Pro-unification activists chant slogans during a protest demanding a stop to joint military exercises between South Korea and the U.S., near the U.S. embassy in Seoul February 14, 2012. The U.S. and South Korea will stage military maneuvers, named Key Resolve (KR) from February 27-March 9 in which about 200,000 South Korean and 2,100 U.S. troops will take part. The two countries will also hold the Foal Eagle (FE) military exercise from March 1-April 30. North Korea in late January blamed South Korea and the U.S., warning that the joint military exercises would thrust the Korean Peninsula to the brink of war.
