Samsung's ‘phablet' gets official for T-Mobile: Galaxy Note to launch in coming weeks

Samsung's supersized smartphone-tablet hybrid is finally official for T-Mobile, though the nation's No.4 carrier still hasn't revealed pricing details or a launch date for its first 'phablet.' T-Mobile says 77% of its customers yearn for a smartphone with a display larger than 4.5 inches, and those subscribers will soon see their wishes granted - the Galaxy Note features a gorgeous 5.3-inch Super AMOLED display, a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and an S Pen stylus. An earlier report suggests T-Mobile will launch the Galaxy Note on August 8th, about six months after the phone first debuted on AT&T and less than one month before the handset's successor, the Galaxy Note II, is expected to be unveiled.
